About me

Career

Ben Dörr, born on January 25, 2005, in Lich, Hesse, has been in the racing seat since childhood. What began in karting quickly became serious: 2016 and 2017 champion of the Rotax Max Challenge Germany, 2018 winner of the ADAC Kart Masters in the OK Junior class — and in 2019, at the age of 14, the youngest champion of the ADAC Kart Masters OK Senior ranking, as the first rookie ever.

In 2021, the step into GT racing followed: ADAC GT4 Germany in the McLaren 570S GT4 from Dörr Motorsport. Already in his second year, Ben drove to the runner-up title. 2023 brought the apprenticeship years on the toughest track in the world — Nürburgring Endurance Series, two class victories, and his first 24h race.

2024 saw his DTM debut: the youngest driver in the field, McLaren 720S GT3 Evo, and induction into the McLaren Junior Program. 2025 continued at a steep pace — first DTM pole, class victory at the 24h race together with Phil Dörr, and the first McLaren victory in ADAC GT Masters history. And in 2026, the moment Ben had been working towards: Zandvoort, 2nd place — his first DTM podium and simultaneously the first for the McLaren brand in the DTM ever.

And when he's not driving? Then he's wrenching. Ben is a qualified automotive mechatronics technician and also works on his racing car himself. He knows his car not just from the steering wheel — but down to the last bolt.
